Then a few days ago a previous client emailed me pictures of the cutest little girl in the world! Recently, the little girl finally received her shoes (the Ariel x Rapunzel pair) as a birthday gift from my client. I'm told that she was ecstatic and couldn't take them off! I could tell from the photos that she was extremely elated! I was so touched by her reaction. Here's a pic of her feet on what seems to be an awesome carpet:
After hearing such news, how can I not be inspired? I want to lift the hold and start the next pair right now!
I also just received photos from Madrid, but these came through the actual mail (remember that?!) and I had the joy of reading a wonderful letter written entirely in Italian. Italian from Spain? Let me explain. Several years ago I was celebrating my birthday in Rome, and I happened to be at a restaurant where someone had the same birth date as me. He was an elderly man dining with his wife, and we joined them for our meal. I had a fantastic time conversing with them in my broken Italian, and we exchanged addresses to keep in touch when the meal was over.
(Yes, we exchanged regular addresses - not email addresses. Keep in mind this was way before the age of ubiquitous smartphones.)
Anyway, when I received a letter postmarked from Madrid, I never thought I'd find an Italian letter inside! He was traveling in Madrid when he sent the letter, but he included pictures of his lovely family and pictures of the same food we had back in Rome, only this time recreated in his kitchen. Aw!!! Too cute for words.
All it takes is a little news from afar, and voila! Inspiration aplenty. :)
