Shark Tees Project: Part 3

Hurray! I finally had time to create the 3rd batch of Shark Tees. Usually a “batch” is just about ~10 t-shirts, since I’m just screen printing these myself in my home studio (read: bedroom). As you may already know, I have an unhealthy obsession with sharks and have been making these shirts for friends and family. This time was a little different. For the first time I was pricing them (just $15) and I wasn’t sure if there would be as much demand… did fans only want them when they were labeled “free”?

But I was wrong! The 3rd batch was snatched up rather quickly, and I’ve been working on fulfilling these orders all week, trying to get them delivered before the holidays. Takes up quite some time; all the aligning, the washing, the drying, the baking – yes BAKING – but it’s all worth it. It’s fun! I made 2 black, 2 white, 2 sapphire, 2 royal blue, 1 gold, and 1 red (not all of them pictured above… because I’d already started sealing the packages when I realized I didn’t take the pictures hahaha).

As a fun way to see them in the wild, I always ask the owners of these shirts to have someone take a photo of them doing something awesome. One friend wore it while out in the Mongolian desert! Another wore it to the Hollywood sign in California:

Can’t wait to add more photos to the Shark Tees album!!

Anyway, after these are all sent out, I’ll be packing my bags and heading out to Stockholm and Copenhagen for the holidays. Maybe I can get a picture with my Shark Tee there! Or not… because I’ll be wearing 10912830985 layers in that freezing weather. Why am I going to an even colder city in the winter?!!!! Oh right, for the mulled wine. ;)
