What kind of shoes do you use?
- I can work on any kind of canvas shoes. In the US the most popular brands are Vans, Keds, and Converse. I can also do TOMs. I prefer to use slip-ons, but lace-ups are fine too. Just let me know what you prefer.
How much are the shoes?
- This depends on the complexity of your request. Sometimes the design is simple, or sometimes I get requests for designs only on the backs, and I try to reflect that in the price. However, there is a $55.00 deposit on all orders (unless you're ordering Chucks, in which case the deposit is $70). This is so I can order your shoes. The total price usually ranges from $95 (for the very simple) - $185.
Can I send you my own shoes?
- If they are a brand new pair, and they are made of canvas, sure. Send me a picture so I know what to expect. If you opt to do this, the cost of shoes will be not be included in the total price.
Will my shoes get ruined in the rain?
- No. All shoes are weatherproof and can be spot-cleaned. I want the shoes to last as long as they can, but like all shoes, they will be subject to regular wear and tear. I wouldn't go swimming in them, but to each their own.
How long does it take?
- Once I receive the shoes, the work takes about 1-2 weeks. If you need them by a specific date or special occasion, let me know and I'll do my best to get them to you on time.
Can I really request any kind of design?
- Yes! Each pair is one of a kind. I've gotten all kinds of requests, including mash-ups of really random characters. If you're stumped, you can send me a really general idea, and I'll ask you some questions to help us brainstorm. Check out the gallery too!
Do you ship internationally?
- Yes. Send me your shipping address or zip code and I'll let you know how much it would cost to ship you some ANGE shoes from NYC. ;)
What is the return policy?
- Unfortunately, these are each commissioned and custom made specifically for one person, so returns and exchanges cannot be made. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me at anytime during the process.
